A month full of cultural, musical and artistic events along the streets and squares of the city of Montefalco
The Run of the Ox is a rehearsal event that was born in 1972 from the ancient Renaissance chronicles of the City of Montefalco. The time period can be located between the 1400 and the 1500, period of maximum urban splendor.
The festival is included in the Agosto Montefalchese program which sees a month full of cultural, musical and artistic events in the streets and town squares.
Over the years, performances by artists like Max Gazzè, Antonella Ruggiero, Eugenio Finardi, Ron and many others have been celebrated. Some evenings of August Montefalchese are also organized by local associations such as the “Consorzio Tutela Vini” which traditionally deals with the evening of St. Lawrence “Calici di Stelle”, the “Bandwagon Group and Musicians” which organizes the “Bandwidth Meetings” From all parts of Italy “, the Museum System and other important local realities.
Interestingly beyond the races, the Artistic Representation organized by the Four Districts each year for August 13th. Here the theatrical, artistic and scenic skills blend with the beauty of the town square by providing magical atmospheres between history, fantasy and present
