Experiences
A MYRIAD OF FLAVORS
In Umbria and the surrounding regions, each season invites you to discover its food and wine delicacies. Montefalco’s Sagrantino, Castelluccio’s lentils, Trevi’s black celery or Spello’s olive oil are just some of the typical products of the area: each area deserves a visit and a tasting. Festivals and events tell, month after month, the tradition, spreading the unmistakable scents of the Umbrian land. Each period offers different experiences: that’s why Umbria is a region to come back to and return to.
BACK TO BASICS
Always known and loved as the green heart of Italy, Umbria is a place to catch up with nature and get back to breathing pure air. Villa dei Platani allows you to reach some of the most evocative places in a short time: in less than an hour you can explore the Marmore Falls or trespass into Tuscany and Le Marche. A few kilometers from Foligno await you Rasiglia, the town of water, the Subasio Park and the trails for bike tours and trekking. Among forests, villages and views, each day reconnects your breath to that of nature.
A RICH CALENDAR
Foligno is a city rich in cultural, artistic and enogastronomic events.
The best-known event is certainly the Giostra della Quintana, which is held twice a year, in June and September, and transforms the city into a large medieval stage; the Primi d’Italia, the festival dedicated to pasta dishes, also always attracts great interest because of the novelties and initiatives proposed each year. Nearby, the Gaite of Bevagna, the Corsa dei Ceri of Gubbio and the spectacular Infiorate of Spello combine history, religion and tradition.
