The boutique hotel & SPA Villa dei Platani stands inside an Art Nouveau villa built in the late 1920s by architect Felice Sabatini, for
account of Ugo Scaramucci, owner of a famous old file and rasp factory. At the end of World War II, the villa became
the elegant headquarters of the “Acqua Nocera Umbra” company, and then transformed into a hospitality facility in the 1970s. Completely renovated in 2007, it is now a modern 4-star design hotel in Foligno, equipped with all modern high-tech comforts. Compared with the original design, the Art Nouveau villa mirrors the structure except for the decorative apparatus, which features a typical Renaissance style, such as that of the turret ornaments and window frames.
